Shadow slowed from a brisk walk to a halt as he reached the lake. He gazed arcross the lake. The sun was beginning to set. A thin layer of ice covered te lake, but the fast moving river was still rushing with fresh water. Looking behind him, he waited for his guest.

She slowly walked behind him. As they neared the lake she paused for a moment, glanced at it then continued to walk. As she caught up with him she said Nice part of terra.
She gave a curt nodd and smiled lightly.

Shadow smiled. "Thank you. Now if you need a drink, the river is over there. Most of the year the lake is frozen over."

Nodding she moved to the river, lowering her head she slowly lapped up soem of the water. As she had her fill, she raised her head then padded back to Shadow. Yawning she said Quite refreshing that river water is...Kind of pure if you think about it, but as a small taste of fish in it. She giggled.

Shadow laughed. "You should see the salmon in the springs. They swim up stream. They jump out of the water. It's very nice if you like fish. Makes for a easy catch."

I usually eat fish if I'm tired and I'm not up to hunting. One reason I don't hunt big animals is because I got a nasty scar from this bear...
She turned and showed him the long, blood red, claw mark that was on her left side. She then turned back to where she was facing him with her face, not her side.

Shadow nodded. "My dad was killed by a bear. We don't really have a problem with them around here. For some reason they don't like this land.
But I will warn the odd on sometimes comes around when they are hungry." Shadow didn't want to scare her, but he wanted her to be safe and prepared in case.

I'm not really that scared of them, I just do my best to stay away from them. And sorry about your dad, I don't know what happened to my parents, after I left it... And still, no questions please. If you don't have a big problem with bears then I will probably be fine.

Shadow nodded, and didn't press into her life. If she felt comfortable around him, she did him. That's all he wanted. "Good. I don't want you to be nervous. So where do you think you will call your 'home'. The caves? Forest? Mountains? I live in the caves. I find them the nicest."

I'm use to living in caves, so I guess I'll join you there, as when I traveled as a loner I slept in caves for protection from any storms and such. So where are these caves? I guess we can go there next after we finish here. She looked around, able to smell the scent of stone, she looked in that direction.

Shadow smiled. "There over by the mountains, towards the bottum. There is a whole bunch of them. You can have one of the smaller ones to yourself, or if you want company my cave is always open." He hoped she didn't think he was flirting. He wasn't trying to, he just thought she might not want to live alone.

Small caves, big caves, occupied caves, empty caves, they are all caves...Doesn't really matter to me at all. She gave her paw a light shake as small beetle crept upon her. She watched as the tiny bug landed on its back, but soon flipped over and crawled away like it didn't even care.

Shadow nodded. "Well I guess it doesn't matter until you see them. What would you like to do now?" Shadow didn't want to bore the poor wolf.

Ah okay. She shrugged and hesitated for a moment then said I don't know...I guess you can decidem since it really doesn't matter where we go, really.

Shadow nodded. With one powerful leap, he landed a top a high rock. He gazed around his land. So many wonderful places he could take her.
